Artist Statement:As I work through a canvas, I can feel like a theatre director rehearsing my chosen actors on a partly prepared set, script in hand, when I suddenly notice that some of the cast are acting out a completely different play, something far more interesting … or is it?

This canvas “Doing my A level homework during the Cuban Crisis” evolved in just this way, working from images past and recent, painting with continuing digital image recombination, deliberately and now consciously keeping the ideas fluid, and this almost fully formed unrelated memory suddenly presented itself - tweak?
